Hazel is a recent graduate of Trinity College Dublin in French and German. She spent last year chairing her university’s debating society, while also reporting on current affairs for Eurodesk’s Pool of Young Journalists and PulseZ and researching refugee rights for her university’s Free Legal Advice Clinic. This work showed her how international policymaking shapes everyday lives, and instilled a passion for sustainable social justice. She currently serves as a Young Ambassador with the ONE Campaign in the UK supporting development projects in Africa, and with Ensemble Contre la Peine de Mort, advocating for the global abolition of capital punishment. As Co-Lead on ClimaTalk’s COP31 Project, Hazel covers all things SB64 and COP31 – when she’s not working on her advocacy or journalism projects, you can probably find her at the cinema or updating her London café rankings (she’s a coffee fiend).
