Invest in a Generation of Climate Leaders
Why do we need your support?
Right now, one of our volunteers is sitting with a dense international negotiation text, untangling it line by line, turning it into something anyone without a policy background could actually follow. Another volunteer is editing the articles for our new journal edition, making sure they are accessible, and checking every claim against its source before it goes live. They’re not paid for any of it. They’re why you’re reading this page.
ClimaTalk started as a handful of young people who thought climate policy shouldn’t be locked behind jargon and closed doors. Several years on, we’re a fully volunteer-run, fully independent team of 100+ young people in 30+ countries and six continents, reaching hundreds of thousands worldwide. We’ve never taken money from anyone with a stake in the outcome of our work. For an organisation demystifying a space that vested interests shape every day, that independence is the whole point. It’s also why we depend on people like you.
What your support has already made possible:
- 500+ articles across 15+ areas of climate policy, fact-checked and edited
- Award-winning live coverage from 9 international UN climate conferences
- The accessible Youth Climate Lawsuits Database, used by students and researchers worldwide
- The Global University Courses Map, connecting young people to 450+ climate-focused degree programmes
- 7 Editions of the ClimaTalk Journal, our flagship youth-led publication
There are no salaries or offices behind any of it, just evenings, weekend, and a stubborn belief that young people deserve real access to the decisions shaping their future. That’s also why nearly every euro you give goes straight into our projects and expanding our impact.
What we’re building next:
We are currently working on our UNFCCC COP31 coverage, which will be the biggest and most comprehensive we have done so far. We are planning several new editions of our ClimaTalk Journal, as well as reporting and coverage of other crucial climate negotiations and decisions that usually don’t get the attention they deserve.
Whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly commitment, your support empowers young leaders to shape climate policy, fight disinformation, and build a sustainable future.
Knowledge is power. Thank you for helping us put it in the hands of our generation.
