Key COP30 Outcomes

31 May, 2026

COP30, widely referred to as the “implementation COP,” was held from 10 to 22 November 2025 in Belém, Brazil—the gateway to the Amazon. A decade after the landmark adoption of the Paris Agreement, expectations were high for COP30 to mark a decisive shift from policy commitments to tangible implementation.

While the decisions adopted at COP30 delivered important progress in several areas, they also fell short of the level of ambition and action many had hoped to see. Released ahead of SB64, this report aims to:

  • Provide a rapid and accessible overview of key outcomes from COP30
  • Support the tracking of key negotiation streams in the lead-up to SB64
This report isn’t intended to be an exhaustive list of each decision adopted at the Conference, and not all of these outcomes are connected to official documents. Instead, we at ClimaTalk want to put the most significant documents, declarations, and decisions in their broader negotiation context, including their key champions and their legal status.
