On April 21st, the EU agreed to reduce net emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990. To set the EU on course to reach that target, it published a whole package of legislation, some revised and some new, ranging from energy to forestry on July the 14th and on December 15th. This package is referred to as the ‘Fit for 55’ package.

In this section, you will find articles on all the Fit for 55 files, what their goals are, to whom they apply and how they intend to achieve their goals. You will also find other related articles on topics relevant on how the EU wants to reach its 2030 and 2050 climate goals.
